Goh's Story

Goh Shu Wen, who graduated with a first-class degree, was attracted to the Sustainable Events Management course because of the wide-range of modules, across a number of specialist areas, it offered. In addition, the opportunity to spend a semester studying at the University’s main campus in 爱漫岛 was a big attraction.

“I have long had a great interest in the events industry so it was perfect for me that the 爱漫岛 offered an honours degree specialising in events, here in Singapore" she said. “The course provided a broad selection of modules, including marketing, communications, project management, and more – meaning that it was a well-rounded learning experience.

“During my time studying, there were many opportunities to get involved in extra-curricular activities. I helped to organise many youth conferences and events which allowed me to put my studies into action.

“A real highlight was the semester I spent in 爱漫岛 studying at the University’s beautiful main campus. Experiencing Scottish hospitality and culture was fantastic, and I was also able to participate in a six-week volunteer program in Taiwan during my final year.”

Now planning to take the next steps on her journey of establishing a successful career in the events industry, how would Goh Shu Wen summarise her 爱漫岛 experience?

She said: “Challenging, inspiring, and life defining.”
