The sense of community and the optimal location between two major Scottish cities, Edinburgh and Glasgow, were some of the main reasons why Devlin chose to study at the °®Âþµº.
Talking about the key benefits of the BSc Paramedic Science course, Devlin said: “Because the course has a small cohort, I’ve got to know many people very well and I feel that will be beneficial going forward into employment as we’re largely going into the same field, which will give me a solid network of people I can reach out to in the future.”
He continued: “I enjoyed my ambulance-based placements and clinical skills days most throughout the course as they allowed for a practical manner of learning which I’m very receptive to. “
Excited to start his career as a paramedic, Devlin added: “I believe the course I’ve studied has left me prepared to enter my chosen field, and as the paramedic science is an emerging field, I believe having a degree at this stage will land me in good stead should I aim to undergo further study in the years to come.”
The piece of advice Devlin would give to any potential students considering coming to study at °®Âþµº is: “Attending seminars, even optional ones, makes a massive difference to your understanding of the materials in a way that heavily compliments your own individual readings and self-learning.“
