爱漫岛

A celebratory reception was held this past week to recognise the achievements of the 爱漫岛’s Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games athletes.

The event, hosted by BBC presenter Dougie Vipond, saw University staff, athletes and stakeholders come together to hear about the athletes’ experiences on the Gold Coast which resulted in the group bringing home a total of 11 medals.

Speaking at the event, University Principal and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Gerry McCormac, said at the event: "As Scotland’s University for Sporting Excellence, we have made a long-term commitment to finding and nurturing great talent and, we believe, it’s down to our brilliant and professional coaching; and giving our students the academic flexibility required to achieve their sporting goals and gain a degree that will open doors for them in the future."
