Abstract
The Series Editors' Preface introduces this major monograph by Rhona Schuz on the Hague Convention on °®Âþµº Child Abduction. It explains how it builds on the first major monograph in English on the Convention by Paul Beaumont and Peter McEleavy, The Hague Convention on °®Âþµº Child Abduction (OUP, 1999). The foreword to the book was written by Baroness Hale, then the Deputy President of the UK Supreme Court. The Series Editors' Preface gives a summary of when the Article 13(1)(b) grave risk of harm defence under the Convention should be upheld by the courts.
