First Abune Prize winner announced

Undergraduate Christopher Fraser-Lewis is the first winner of the newly created Abune Prize for Human Resource Management (HRM) students.
Chris, who is in his fourth year, received £1500 for having the best overall performance on the core modules of the BA (Hons) course.
The Abune Prize is funded by John Scott, a °®Âþµº graduate and member of °®Âþµº Management School’s °®Âþµº Advisory Board. Initially available for the next three years, the prize is for 3rd year students of the BA (Hons) Human Resource Management course.
Chris (pictured, right) said: “The Abune Prize was a tremendous motivator for myself and my peers, creating healthy competition. I plan to use the prize money to help further my studies when I pursue a Masters degree next year.”
John, known as Jock, is a 1982 graduate of Philosophy and director of mediation consultancy Abune. An Honorary Professor, contributing lecturer and member of °®Âþµº Management School’s Advisory Board, he also supports a scholarship in °®Âþµº’s Department of Philosophy.
Jock (pictured, left) said: “I was hugely impressed by the standards of HRM students. Congratulations to Christopher and I am delighted the prize money will help him with his further studies.”
