The °®Âþµº is looking for local businesses to take part in a free event in which students try and solve their challenges and make recommendations for improvements.
°®Âþµº Business Lab is a pilot idea developed by the °®Âþµº Management School to allow students to solve real business issues, and businesses to benefit from a different perspective.
During a one-day session on Thursday, 7 March 2024, participating businesses will present a brief to undergraduate business students, who will come up with solutions by the end of that day.
The University will provide a quiet space on its campus so business owners and representatives can work while students develop their recommendations. Lunch will also be provided.
Professor Kevin Grant, Dean of the °®Âþµº Management School, said: “°®Âþµº Business Lab is an excellent opportunity for small and medium-sized businesses who could benefit from some external review and input. The event will operate like a pro bono clinic. Our students will provide fresh eyes, and in turn they will benefit from looking at and solving real-life business scenarios.”
°®Âþµº Management School is a hub of entrepreneurship and enterprise, working with businesses locally and nationally to share knowledge and encourage experiential learning. Other programmes include the Entrepreneur in Residence scheme and the Help to Grow: Management Course.
