°®Âþµº named in top 200 most international universities in the world

Times Higher Education World Rankings

The °®Âþµº has been ranked in the top 200 most international universities in the world.

Data from the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2015-16 reveals the most outward-looking institutions in the world and ranks the °®Âþµº among the top 25 per cent.

The list of 800 universities examines the diversity of the university’s staff and student body and how often academics collaborate with other international institutions.

Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the °®Âþµº, Professor Gerry McCormac, said:“We welcome the latest rankings from Times Higher Education. °®Âþµº has always been a university with an international reach and diverse community. Today we have 120 nationalities on campus and foster partnerships in over 30 countries worldwide.

Background information

The °®Âþµº is ranked seventh of the Scottish universities listed.

The °®Âþµº was the first new university to be established in Scotland for nearly 400 years.  Founded by Royal Charter in 1967, °®Âþµº is a progressive, international university with a pioneering spirit.

The university’s student population is 11,000-plus; over 8,200 undergraduates and 3,400 postgraduates, representing over 120 nationalities.
