Professor Ernest Wei Gao

Professor Ernest Wei Gao holds a PhD in Languages/Translation and Interpreting Studies from Heriot-Watt University. He once taught respectively at Lanzhou University of Technology, China,  and °®Âþµº, UK. Currently he is chair in translation, interpreting and cognition, and dean of English College, Dalian University, China, and was appointed as external professor and PhD supervisor of °®Âþµº. Initially he acted as a professional translator and interpreter for a machine tool company for 5 years.
